Praise and thanks be to God for seeing us through this first year of AGPC women’s fellowship, Connecting Women for Christ. As we navigated and journeyed through the year, God has brought together ladies of many talents and strengths. For each event, we not only increased our knowledge on the materials shared, we got to fellowship and know a little more of one another. See the section on CWfC 2023 Events under Videos and Pictures to have glimpses of our fellowships.
As CWfC continues to be guided by 1 Thessalonians 5:11, we urge AGPC ladies to come and gather so that we may encourage and build one another up. We would also like to reach out to ladies beyond AGPC. So we hope that the events organized by CWfC can be a platform for you to bring your loved ones and friends to the knowledge of Christ. See the section on Activities and Events to learn more of what’s upcoming.
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Koinonia
We have adopted “Koinonia”, a Greek word used for fellowship which expresses “a relationship of great intimacy and depth…” We hope to have a deeper fellowship and encourage more connected, supported and courageous women of faith and service.
4C approach
We aim to be Christ-centred and Connect women, one at a time. We want to be able to Communicate useful information to build skill sets and support the needs of the women community within our church and beyond. We hope to bring the women Community together based on their interests and continually spur one another on towards love and good works.

WALK & BOND
Guided Walk @ Little India
24 August, Saturday

CWfC (Connecting Women for Christ) organised our 4th Walk & Bond at Little India on Saturday, 24 Aug 2024. Despite the overcast sky and light rain, the 28 (aged 14 to 82) of us thoroughly enjoyed the walk as all senses were awoken.
Look at all our beautiful smiles! We are standing In front of the Indian Heritage Centre. The Centre is a cultural centre and museum in Singapore that showcases the culture, heritage and history of Indian Singaporeans. Located at the Campbell Lane thoroughfare in the Little India precinct, the 3,090 square metres centre was launched on 7 May 2015.
Our sense of TASTE, SIGHT, SMELL, TOUCH & HEARING were aroused as we sampled food, saw rows of garlands which only males are allowed to thread; visited the former House of Tan Teng Niah; and enjoyed the numerous wall murals and unique road signs.
Leonard, the guide, is not only knowledgeable but also entertaining. We were captivated by his sharing of the different Indian gods, food and culture.
But above all, our God is the greatest and we thank Him for his providence!
WALK & BOND
Guided Walk @ Civic District
22 May 2024, Wednesday

This was how we started our Walk & Bond @ Civic District on this lovely morning with great weather that God had blessed us with. It was an activity to bond us together, reminding us that we are bound together through our Lord Jesus.
MOVEMENT
The Secret Medicine to Living Well – PART I
27 April 2024, Saturday

We were very happy to have Anna Sun, a senior physiotherapist to share with us the latest evidence based guidelines for physical activity which is both realistic and applicable. She highlighted the importance of life changing habits and got us to MOVE as she demonstrated some exercises which we can all start doing today!
Watch this space for updates on events and activities for July – November!

Workshops
Terrarium – Art Workshop
Garden in a bottle. That’s what we learnt to create. Thanks to Sook Kwan who showed us how we could have our own little container of tranquillity wherever we may be.
Massage – Self Care Workshop
Massaging oneself? YES! Carina, our sports therapist taught us techniques that we could use on both ourselves and on our family or friends needing a good massage
Art Journaling Workshop
Journaling isn’t all about writing! Drawing allows us to express our thoughts and emotions through symbols, colours and lines. It can also be used to create structure to our journaling. Thanks Maureen for the sharing.
Hearty Global Wellness SPICE Workshop
7 spices that could change your health in weeks!
Imagine how boring your diet would be without spices! It would be like watching a black-and-white movie—dull and unexciting. But spices are more than just flavor enhancers. In this workshop, Constance shared that Spices not only add flavor to your food but why spices are extremely essential to one’s diet.
She shared how Spices are Health Heroes as they provide information for your genes, and can turn off disease genes that have been turned on by processed foods, GMO foods, dietary deficiencies, and toxicities.
So, when you sprinkle cinnamon or savor turmeric, you’re not just seasoning your food, you’re also enhancing your health and wellness.
The workshop ended off with a sumptuous hi-tea prepared by Hearty Global Wellness in-house chef to let us savor turmeric super spices added to hot and cold beverages as well as to muffins, curry puff and samosas.
Walk & Bond series
AGPC Sisters Hike @Botanic Gardens
God blessed us with fair weather this late afternoon as we enjoyed the garden and fellowshipping with one another. We thank God for His beautifully created plants and flowers.
Ann Xiang Hills / Amoy Street Trail
Guided walk to Ann Xiang Hill on 2 Dec 23 took us through Amoy Street, Ann Xiang Hill and Chinatown Complex Market and Food Court. We not only got to exercise physically (from the walk) but also awoke all our senses – hear, see, touch, smell & taste. Most of all, we all had a great time learning about each other. Can’t wait for the next walk!
We had a wonderful time learning new things about the history of Singapore.
